Five.Five 2
The good news. The food was very good.
Unfortunately, a small event was handled terribly.
After my wife found a black curly hair on her plate, she sent it back. The server returned with the same partially eaten meal on a new plate. No offer of a new meal was made. The manager, Glenn told us "this happens about every 2 months, it's just luck". We were offered a free drink as we were leaving. BIG WHOOP!
Good food. POOR MANAGEMENT!
We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I am glad we did. We loved the crab cakes, risotto lollipops and my Hake fish with red pepper broth was cooked perfectly. The mussles must have been hand picked! Best of all was the dessert. I want to go back just for the chocolate fondu. Well priced wines and you have the option to buy by the 1/2 glass. Our waitress was wonderful. Only complaint is the french fries. (needed aioli)
I can't wait to go back to with my fiance. My sister and I went there for dinner last night and were treated to melt in your mouth fried oysters, delicious crab cakes, a spicy perfect cooked strip steak, and the most yummy risotto balls with truffle sauce. The place is definitely full of those over 40, but once my sister and I brag about this place it will have a very well mixed crowd. The place needs a little work on the inside, but who cares!
Good food
The tapas/small plates allows for a fun way to explore different dishes. Interesting selections were all tasty and nicely presented.
