If you're not able to make it to dinner at B&B, but still want the Batali/Bastianich dining experience, Enoteca is a good bet. Seated in the open air of the piazza, there is plenty of opportunity to see and be seen. If pressed, I would say that Enoteca serves italian wine-bar food. The finger-snackable Arancine (Saffron rice balls) and Fritelle di Proscuitto (fried breadcrumbs, escarole, proscuitto) were hot, crispy and extremely addictive. We also tried a few of the pasta dishes and did not find a dud. Save room for the delicious homemade gelati; the chocolate croccante was especially great.

  • Wonderful Bucatini all'Amatriciana! Bruschetta w/Tapenade was also delicious. Very busy but service was professional & efficient. For such a casual eatery, wines by the glass are pricey-least expensive red was $15. A fun dinner under the "sky" on the Venetian's Piazza San Marco.

  • We were looking for a not-too-expensive-yet-nice place to eat dinner in Las Vegas. A friend recommended Otto, in the shopping area of the Venetian Hotel. We split an arrugula and parmesan salad (large, fresh, tasty) and a pancetta and goat cheese pizza (fantastic). The pizza crust is thin, yet chewy and not brittle. The bill was about $40, which is a bit more than we would spend at home for salad and gourmet pizza, but was worth the price.

Interesting, tasty yet not expensive. Cheese plate was great. The agugula salad was simple, but packed with flavor. Pizzas were creative and delicious.
