Our sons own an Italian restaurant in Cleveland, so we were looking for a good restaurant in Boston. The food was good, but the server was awful. She had an attitude and was brash and short with us. She ruined our night. We split the bill and added what we thought the server deserved for a tip. Now, we get our credit card statement and the server added another $10.. onto our charge. We ate at Pagliuca's on a sunday afternoon with a party of six. I can see the charm of this not so special restaurant. If you're looking for trendy and fashionable, you're in the wrong place. If you want an old world Southern Italian experience, you definitely came to the right place. The food isn't unbelievable, but; it's really good comfort food. Our group shared the antipasto with the hot veggies and it was great. Pagliuca's has character.
