The place is really over the top - and so are the prices. The decor and service are top notch.
When highlight was a sublime manhattan, it's easy to see why "it's never crowded"(3 tables at 8 on Fri night?) but the bar is packed. Service was pleasant, not attentive, and confused--misidentified almost everything on the charcuterie, confused on the specials, couldn't describe sauces. The food? Nothing stunning and some things off in preparation (medium instead of MR) sauteed wild mushrooms were tasty but in a pool of butter. 86 the Park 75
Love this place! Very upscale dining in the heart of the city.
We went for their afternoon high tea. This was high tea at its best. There was nothing run of the mill about the finger sandwiches or sweet treats. This definitely is a great outing for a group who enjoys delicate food and tradition. I look forward to having dinner and Sunday Brunch here in the future.
Fantastic gluten free afternoon tea. Can accommodate gluten free diet for all meals. Wonderful brunch though pricey.
