Bread was cold. Drink order wrong. Food was decent, can't ruin pasta. Service was very slow. A larger table arrived after us was served while we were ignored. Clearly, they cater to regulars. Remember, "First Impressions Last a Lifetime". New customers would become regulars if they were treated well the first time! Manager was confrontational when we approached issue. Recent transplant from NYC and business owner myself, I expected much better
Absolutely great and playful Italian good. Pasta made by them, sauces are fresh and tasty, friendly atmosphere. Can get real crowded.
Ditto UWSProf's review. Only to add that: they get an "excellent" for service because we ate at the bar and were well taken care of by bartender/waiter/general nice guy Pat, they make their own pasta also, and the by-the-glass wine selection is very good.
Innovative, freshly prepared food, friendly service in a festive atmosphere. Exceptionally delicious bread. One of our favorites on the entire shoreline and we have high NYC standards. Make a reservation, especially in the summer. Bring your friends. Everyone will leave happy.
