We go out often - at local restaurants in Connecticut and in NYC and quite honestly, Pasta Nostra has the rudest staff of any restaurant I have been to. I thought the days of "high priced and snooty" were a thing of the '80's culture but they are alive and living at Pasta Nostra. Food quality does not command the high price as well.
Food on their regular menu is above average, not great; however some of their specials can be outstanding. Seating is tight to cramped. Service sometimes seems to rush you. I will also return for their seasonal squash ravioli over prosciutto. Prices are too expensive for the decor and food.
Norwalk's answer to Seinfeld's Soup Nazi.
We hate to shell out the $250+ we spend every time we go there but constantly return because it is hands down the best in the area. Jose knows our wine taste and will bring us a bottle of wine at only 2X as opposed to 3X in most restaurants. The food brings you back. Tell me you there is a better place to eat in Fairfield County. Is it expensive? Yep. Good as hell, tho. We try to find a better place... ALWAYS come back.
our favorite!! Hope they stay. Difficult to get a reservation.
