First is first, best most authentic food in Houston. Ambience is perfect for an extravagant evening. The food speaks for its self. Best restaurant in Houston... hands down. Try it or miss out on a decadent cuisine never had before.

This place is totally worth the hype. There's live music, attentive service, and most importantly, incredible food. I'd say that the cuisine is more South African/American fusion. My fiancée had curried chicken where each bite was a little bit different, filled with coconut, herbs, and some vegetables 8 couldn't identify. I had the Huguenot filet, which was absolutely incredible... It was moist, tender, and covered with a blue cheese/bacon/cherry dressing. It was simultaneously sweet and savory. Highly recommend the carrot bredie for a side, a blend of carrot, mashed potatoes, and leeks.

Unique and delicious food in elegant and beautiful atmosphere; amazing South African mojitos and cuisine. My favorites: lamb chops, surf and turf, and every appetizer on the menu is amazing. Stay for the dessert - cheesecake is fabulous. This is easily my favorite place to eat anywhere in Houston. Leave the kids at home, have an elegant night out!
