Amazing food! Do not bother with the local crab houses in Baltimore, we tried and Phillips surpassed them. They had a harbor side set up with delicious shrimp and crab. The drinks were sub par and a little expensive but the food was amazing. I highly recommend it.
My husband was excited to take me to Phillips, for he had been a patron at the 'old location'. He ordered the 'famous' crab cakes and we both were highly disappointed. He said they tasted NOTHING like they used to. We both found the entire dinner (which included salads and dessert) to be subpar, especially for the price. Our waiter was decent and friendly. The decor was rundown and shabby. We will not return to Phillips.
Tragically, the food quality at the new location is subpar. The design of the new location isn't bad (stained glass windows are a nice touch), but not very impressive. Too bad they don't have the water views anymore (unless you're on the Crab Deck).
Little overprice and using frozen food. It is very busy place because it is tourist area. The decor is fine with Baltimore harbor view and the service was attentive. But for serious seafood eater, please do not try this one. You may get out very mad.
I ordered the famous crab cake, fried shrimp, and tomato noodle for kids. We love all the dishes. Even the side dish that comes with the entree are good too. I can find that the food are fresh and being done per your order, i.e. foods are not pre-cooked beforehand. The restaurant has beautiful decoration. Also there is live piano performance too. Thank you for a good dinning experience.
