Ordered seafood hu tieu with extra veggies, and boyfriend ordered a clay pot dish with chicken. The egg rolls dripped grease and were just okay. Hu tieu broth was very good but not the best I've had - I prefer more veggies and seafood than I got, but still emptied the bowl. Clay pot was piping hot, left lots of crispy rice - chicken was well seasoned and tasty. Music here was awesomely bad.
Fabulous BYOB Vietnamese spot where your dollar goes amazingly far for first rate fare. Don't be intimidated by the vast menu - your server will plan a culinary adventure with you.
Right in the middle of Little Saigon, this is an authentic alternative to bigger options along the street. Asian pop music plays unobtrusively, and your meal arrives quickly, if you can wade your way through one of the larger menus available. The pork and shrimp in red chili dish is a high point.
For a place called Pho, it had nowhere near the best pho on Argyle. But the rest of the menu was superb. The rare beef salad is surprisingly refreshing, and the banh xeo (coconut shrimp pancake) is the best I've had in Chicago. Not to mention, the wait staff is incredibly friendly and very attentive.
cheap pho, very flavorful broth. although it's on argyle, it's definitely worth the trip up. service is very attentive. a vast menu to choose from. a large soup is enough to have some to take home.
