Place is a joke!! Must agree with previous post re service here. Went last night with a 630 reservation, place was empty and they tried to sit my wife and I at the table where the busboys drop the dishes next to the kitchen. When we requested to sit at another table we were told NO by the hostess and what I believe to be the manager bc open tables were "4 tops". Walked out and went to Red and had a great meal.
Took a chance on this restaurant based on the Zagat guide. Although located in a strip mall the decor was welcoming and pleasant with holiday cheer. The waiter was attentive and helpful. Linguine and clam sauce was delightful. There was a steady stream of patrons but the table did not feel cramped, and our meal was relaxed. Worth seeking out in a village of many restaurants.
A pleasant surprise in a strip mall. The food and service was top notch. Yes it is crowed and noisy but the service was caring and smooth. The food was terrific especilly the oyster special in truffle sauce. A great meal albiet pricy.
Food is wonderful, service is caring and the bartender is the most welcoming on long island
Piccolo is a fine restaurant. The food ranges in quality from excellent to good, with some interesting combinations of ingredients. There is a large array of specials, which constitute the best part of the menu. You will leave this establishment in a good frame of mind. The service is very attentive although a tad rushed. The diners included several regulars, who were greeted warmly, but everyone was well taken care of.
