Who knew they had changed Chefs .... must have been a problem in that department - On a high note the management and new Executive Chef are doing incredible things - We have eaten there 3 times this past week - Lunch & Dinner and it was phenomenal The Bar Specials and Summer Menus are just what we were in the mood for - Looking Foward to seeing this place around for a while !!!

I have eaten here 2-3 times per month since Jan 2011(9Months), by far best restaurant on LI. Service always great, food great try the seasame & panko tilapia with the sticky rice and bok choy for a out of this world meal. If a down side it is that it gets very loud in the dining area, but mostly because everyone is enjoying their evenings! You will always be my favorite!

Went for my birthday...sat outside on the deck. Very attentive employees..and all greeted and served us with a smile! Waitress was very educated on the food choices as well as many of the drink choices. Food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Though the menu is not especially adventurous, the food is well prepared, the rooms are attractive and the porch in the summer even more so, and the service good.

Great food, great drinks, good service. They always have great specials and change the menu each season so there is always new great food to try. On Friday's they always have live music in the evening as well which is when we usually go.

Fabulous place to go for regular fare.. great flavors.. great people.. great location.. for long island I would say Porters on the Lnae is in the top 10.. maybe even better.. I have had better dishes at porters than at 5 star places in the city.. the service.. although young is well trained.. clean and well dressed.. and very very friendly.. what more to ask?..
