Typical high end Italian restaurant with a local feel in Coronado. Employees have been there forever and good is classic and excellent with a good wine list.
Not sure why there are so many gushing reviews. I thought this place was overpriced and food and service mediocre at best. We've been here many times in the past and the quality has been up and down. It's headed down now.
Clams - overcooked
Lobster ravioli - Pasta was tough, not al dente. No lobster flavor
Filet - Very good. This is one consistency in their menu.
Bone-in Ribeye -Not cooked to order. Waiter not anxious to fix it.
I thought this was overrated and overpriced. The food was mediocre Italian. Heavy in sauces, not all of the pasta is homemade. I guess I just had higher expectations from something rated so high in Zagat. Coronado struggles to find good quality restaurants for foodies.
Great food and excellent service.
Fantastic!!!! Waiters in Tuxedo's know their craft. Excellent knowledge of food and wine pairings. Not to mention the food!!!! The veal chop is to die for. Maybe the best I've ever had. Next time we are in Coronado we are definitely making a point to stop in again
