Food was awful, service was great, price was through the roof for quality of food. Will not return.

Perfectly awful. Made a 7ish reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. Upon arrival was confronted with a sea of people and an un-kept lobby area (dirty glasses and dishes all about). Was told a 35 minute wait -- waited 15 minutes to get a pager device -- waited another 35 minutes after being given the pager, only to have the hostess yelling my name instead of using the pager.
Then down hill from there. Dirty, poorly presented, and chaotic.

I have been ordering from Ray's for year and have always enjoyed their reliable quality for a better than usual take out. Today I received what looked like a cheap airport salad with no dressing, iceberg lettuce cafeteria style, and a badly cooked piece of fish. I am hopeful that this was an anomally, but reputation for a restaurant like Rays' should be weighted as much on consistency as quality. Today the food was awful.

Excellent!! Server replaced my meal and gave me a coupon for a free desert because I didn't like an item he suggested.
