We found the food disappointing. With Manhattan aspirations, Rein actually fell short of many Long Island competitors.
We went there on a Saturday night. The tables were a little to tight together for my liking. The biggest disappointment however was the food. Everything was over salted x10. It was all you could taste. One meal was cold when it came out. The other was undercooked. The place seemed nice, but we will never go back. It was a waist of $200. We did complain and the waiter said he was sorry, but the manager could not care.
The cost was including tax and tip that's the bad news, the good news is fantastic, if you love lobster, seafood, flank steak, tilapia, cornish hens, breakfest specials, waffels, breads, desserts, salads., and on and on. this was just delicious enjoyable and well worth the trip. The standard brunch drinks and white wine was available if you wished no extra charge and unlimited drinks.
Oh I forgot valet parking free, well a tip is usual. ENJOY...
I went for Sunday brunch - a must try. It's not a huge buffet, but the quality of the food is fabulous. All you can eat lobster, anyone? The seafood jambolaya had so much seafood - shrimp, lobster, mussels, calamari - you couldn't even find the rice! The belgian waffles were scrumptious with the fresh berries and whip cream. We left completely stuffed! Great service and nice atmosphere as well. A bit pricey, but perfect for special occasions
I had lunch at Rein and it was tremendous. I ordered the salmon which was drizzled with a sauce from the caramelized onions, it was unreal!
I'm excited to be going back for dinner later this May, I'll keep you posted.
