Great location and excellent food, but the service was horrible last time we went to BT. Waiter blew us off for a table that was ordering more wine (my wife was pregnant at the time so I was only ordering by the glass), He also screwed up my wife's meal but didn't realize it until we were finished b/c he never checked on us. To top it all off he overcharged me for my glass of wine--it really ruined the experience.

I was in Tampa for work and decided to try Restaurant BT (only for take out). The fusion of flavors was amazing, especially for a take out order.

They were out of the soup we ordered. They were out of the wine we ordered. The second wine we tried to order they switched both the vintner and the year. Refused to give a discount on third bottle we tried to order. Owner BT was rude.

BT has great potential, however she spends too much time outside her kitchen thus attention to culinary detail is lacking, entrees were brought out but not all of them. The flavors are good and potential is there, however BT is not focused as evidenced by our waiter who was a step above a greasy spoon. We had to fill our wine glasses, water service lacked. BT has potential for being an A list chef, but only if she learns to focus.

Excellent food, but not all in my party liked the style. Service was good, not as attentive as expected for price. Portions small, nice presentation. Seems to be working too hard to be trendy. I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't pick this to return to. Better value to be found at this level elsewhere.
