snagged a reservation for saturday night - place was packed - wait staff very nice and attentive even though it was very busy - upscale crowd, great food - venison was a little gamey, burger was very good but way too big - you cant finish it - bread was amazing, foie gras, bay scallops, chick peas, lobster - excellent - upstairs is much more serene - if you want action - stay downstairs, if you want to talk with the people you came with - upstair
A fresh, creative approach to food preparation and presentation. The seasonal changes to the menu provide an element of mystique and a superb dining experience. Outstanding wine list. Excellent, cordial service. Always a joy-never disappointing.
Have been at North practically once a week for the last two years. Amazing! Pure delight. As usual, outstanding food and service. The owners are cordial, welcoming and very accommodating.
Start with food: outstanding presentation, preparation, imagination. Down the food chain ladder we go from 3 for food to 1 for decor. Zero ambience -- a cramped room with terrible acoustics (and diners using cell phones -- the room is awful. Clean? yes. Serviceable? sure. But noisy and not conducive to anything other than ordering, eating, skedaddling. No romance in this environment. Service? so-so. It matches the decor.
Very good farm to table food! Reservation is must!
Great ambience but dissappointing service. Several mistakes were made without acknowledgement or apology. Also, after bringing the wrong dish, the server explained it would would take a while to bring what my sister had ordered. My sister kept the dish but didn't end up liking it and couldn't eat more than a few bites. My sister mentioned it to the server, but there was no adjustment to the bill or anything done about it. Won't be back.
