I went to the Ritz with a co worker and had the most horrible service I have ever experienced! We asked if they could please split the check. The waitress looked at us with disdain and said "Seriously you cant figure that out yourself". I could not believe it! She didn't even apologize! We then approached the owner and explained what had happened. Although he apologized I then watched him speak to the waitress and then wave us off. Horrible!
We had dinner here last night-first visit to restaurant-I would not return. this place is basically a sports bar-loud,noisy, slow service and bad food. I ordered the steak with mashed potatoes for $24-thought it was a good price until it arrived-this strip of steak smothered in teriaki sauce over a scoop of mahed potatoes virtually hidden under thsi thin strip of steak. My wife had a salad dish with lobster which she said was ok.
The list of specials exceeds the regular menu with interesting a reliable items. The Ritz gets really busy even during the week but the bar makes it worth the wait. This is one of our regular "go to" places for a splurge meal out.
Definitely not Ritzy by any stretch but a true local, casual gem. Good quality food with a little town flare. Portions are huge and everything is fresh. Seating is limited and the bar seems to take up the entire restaurant.
Your have too have social graces for this place. But that is one of the things that separates it from others.
