The wine lunches at River Tavern in conjunction with Shore Discount Liquors are fantastic.There is a speaker who briefly presents the wines.The lunches are excellent,3-4 courses paired with wines.Terrific, delicious food compliments the wine.Careful attention is paid to match the food to the region and cuisine the wine represents. A sale price is offered on the wines,very casual no pressure to sell wine.

Desert is the best part of the dinner! Nice venue, just a little tough to find parking in town. Tables could be spaced a little further apart to avoid having a server's behind in your face while she/he is taking care of the table next to you. Some of the food combinations are rather "adventurous", but service is very quick and attentive.

We go here for special occasions, never disappointed. If possible, call and order dessert in advance. It'll be good.

Very cool little spot in a picture perfect CT hamlet. Tight seating and sometimes lax service. But 1/2 price wine nights are great

This is a gem in the the woods of Ct. Great food, well prepared and presented by an efficient and friendly staff. A great choice in a tiny town near the Ct. River.
