This place is sooooo hit or miss. You can order the same thing from one Saturday to the next and it won't be close to the same. We went to this CASH-ONLY place on the hudson once and decided never again. Then one of our friends kept raving about it so a year later we decided to try it again and was happily surprised. All meals come with a salad which is a nice touch. We decided to go back the following weekend and the food was bland & boring.

My recent wedding was catered by Riverview and it was a huge success. Not only was the food plentiful and delicious but the logistics were handled perfectly and the staff went the extra mile to make sure everyone was well fed and happy.
Jim has a cool, professional head and knows his stuff. The pricing was fair, especially considering the amount of food served. The guests raved about the food. Thank you Jim and Riverview staff.Published January 21, 2012 -
Ate here with a friend (who lives in Cold Spring) on Christmas Eve. Everything was spectacular starting with the hostess who fit us in last minute, to host who sat us at the window facing the river, to the waitress who offered to open and serve a Sav Blanc by the glass, to the 'bus boy' who kept our water glasses & bread basket filled to the amazing preparation and serving of our meals. (oysters, calamari, seafood stew, scallop/shrimp fetticini.)

Good views and good food, which may explain why it can become crowded very quickly. One drawback - they don't take credit cards.

We have been going to Riverview for years, and it is consistently a great experience. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and spectacular Hudson River views guarantee a pleasant night out. The kitchen really knows what it's doing, and there are great tasting healthy choices on the menu. Inside can get a bit cramped when it's crowded, but the advantages make this less than a minor concern. Suggest reservations, which are well managed. High reco
