Creative Southern cooking with a twist; if the blue-cheese-filled dates are on the appetizer menu they are not to be missed. Cocktails are also a highlight. The "angry chef" has a reputation as a bit of a hothead, but what shows up on the plate is delicious.

Fabulous food at a great price and the most jovial chef in town. Expect to find him in fact moving around the room, talking with the regulars and saying hi to newcomers alike. The food is consistently great (wonderful shrimp and grits, and the best kobe burger ever!). Make sure you don't skip the desserts: all are great and the chocolate [pudding is unparalleled.
