Does my having visited Sabri Nehari three weekends in a row mean that I am addicted to this place? Well, by midweek I, without fail, seem to find myself dreaming about their succulent goat curry, their flavorful Frontier Chicken, their creamy matter paneer, and their tender mutton biriyani. The aforementioned goat curry is not listed on the menu but will be served upon request. The mango lassi and naan at Sabri are by far the best I have tasted in Chicago. The generous portions also mean that there is plenty left over for a second meal. Okay, doing the math and including the leftover meals, that’s 6 Sabri Nehari meals in 3 weeks. I guess I am hooked.
Sabri is a restaurant I would definitely not recommend to anyone unless it is one of your last options. My recent trip confirmed the restaurant’s distaste. My visiting relatives and family went to dinner there and almost all of us were disgusted. Many of the plates on the table were dirty. We had to ask for new ones. The new plates were wet, leaving us to believe that the dirty plates were simply rinsed and returned to our table. The glasses were
