We eat out frequently in Fairfield and New Haven counties and were overdue for trying this place. We had a large party and had to wait on top of ourselves against the door for about 25 minutes before we were seated - not the end of the world. Everyone in our party seemed to be pleased with their food, and we will definitely be going back. Service is spotty but attentiveness is very good.
Great local non-traditional Italian that has become a state wide cause celebre after winning several prestigious awards and garnering several great reviews. The seating can be tight, but the hosts are always friendly and we always find a special we love. The bread and dipping sauce make the trip worthwhile, but save room for the goat cheese fritters and the Vitello al Gorgonzola.
Angelo has done a very good job here. The beef stroganoff is to die for. Nice to sit outside in the warmer months. A little pricey but worth it. Service is impeccable.
Not to be a naysayer- I know a lot of folks really like it here- but honestly, we just don't see it. We wanted to like it since it's close by and there aren't a lot of good restaurants around this area, but we were quite underwhelmed with the food, and probably won't go back.
Great resturant, food is great everytime, fresh, full in flavor, just the right ammount. Salads different and traditional always great. Dinners excellent no matter what you decide on. Deserts out of the park, Nutella mouse pie, wow. Highly would recommend this resturant.
