Start with the feast for your eyes! Salt is Baltimore Cool from the lighting to the paintings on the wall to the wait staff, you know right away that this is not the average neighborhood spot. The food is spectacular! The presentaton is beautiful and the variety of tastes are making my mouth water while I'm typing this. You can't go wrong with choosing a steak, but give yourself a treat and try some other tastes! Try the Sugar Cane skewered pork loin. Dreamy! Let's hope Salt sticks around, Butchers Hill can use this infusion of class.

I took 4 coworkers to Salt and we had a wonderful meal. A bit out of the way and not opulent but the food is terrific. I had eaten at Charleston the night before and I think Salt compares favorably in terms of quality and presentation & the wine was MUCH more reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed beef tartare and the duck fat french fries starters. My grouper was exquisite as was the tuna. High marks for the deserts!

If you can get a table and find parking (good luck) you MUST get the duck fat fries! we've always had wonderful dinners there. Although I think it's time for them to find a larger venue.
