  • I heard of them on Food Network so wanted to check them out while in Boston. My family and I took the train form Fenway to Downtown and walked a few blocks to find them. I saw a big sign and walked up with my family to get a sandwich. Unfortunately, we didn't get a sandwich because this business is only open 4.5 hours a day. We were not part of the privileged few that gets blessed with their food. You lost my business.

  • Love, love their corned beef sandwich on warm bulky roll. The meat is piled high and so tasty. The steak fries are a must side dish. The place is always packed - but doesn't lack on their super speedy service - so I'm really surprised this place hasn't been added to Zagat's regular listing. It's a shame they're not open during the weekends b/c I would definitely be visiting then.

  • The sandwiches are huge. We loved the potato salad and pickles. We always need to take half a sandwich home. We have tried the Turkey, cornbeef and rueben all great. Meats and breaddsare fresh staff friendly. This is the place to go for a good deli sandwich

  • The best in town. Zagat's should be ashamed of itself for not yet having LaGrassa's in its guide. My favorite is the Jumbo Reuben, but everything's great. This is the type of place I need to go 2 or 3 days in a row just to try other things on the menu. A lot of the meats are made there. It's a lunch place only, and a little pricier than you may do daily, but well worth it. Not in Chinatown-- it's a block from the Common and Downtown Crossing.

  • I have tried all the higher rated sandwich shops in Boston and none come close to Sams. The total cost for a lunch is around $12. I ALWAYS get the potato salad, it is the best I've had. Hard to find and no parking. I've walked half a mile to go here for lunch. I would not only rate this as one of the best in Boston, but one of the best in the US!
