Participate NowGood late night neighborhood place in a neighborhood that needs one that isn't a diner, and consistent brunch fare make a good value. Try the tuna sashimi - it's pretty filling.
Great looking upon entry, however the modern look leverages high cielings and hard surfaces so noise can be an issue. Also, the tables are great looking but dishes slide on them as you cut food, a bit annoying. Starters and desserts were reasonably good if uninspired. Entrees were mediocre. However, the place was packed so perhaps the kitchen just had an off night.
I love their portobello wrap and the new digs. They renovated a few years back due to a fire. The only drawback is the wait, even with reservations.
We've been patronizing Sanford's since it had the 70s decor but great comfort food. When it switched to the modern contemporary decor, the food switched along with it and is not as comfortable anymore.
Friendly owner.
