I went on 4-course PF Thursday, a steal for $40. Setting next to train station in country. Room seats 38, rock music, a little cramped, not too noisy. I had artichoke soup and a pork belly dish that I loved, but the skate dish I had came with a bland risotto, and the hazelnut cake for dessert was somewhat tasteless and poorly composed also. Service fast but could chat up the guests more; personalized menu is a nice touch. Not sure I would return.
Love the fresh local ingredients & attention to detail. Have been eating here 4 years and have been referring many-only pet peeves lately are the increasing cost (just spent $430 for four with 2 average priced bottles of wine and no dessert).. and the $40 Thursday special portions are so tiny (which I usually don't mind).. not much of a bargain and men in the group are sometimes still hungry- Still one of the best for food and service in CT
Beautiful setting. Great food and service.
Rather disappointing meal. I will try it again and hopefully have a better experience.
Love this place. Consistently top notch with a great set menu on Thursdays. Nice outdoor dining in the summer. Great all around and one of our continual favorites.
