Best darn whole belly clams I have had in the state of Connecticut. Nice light better, clean crunchy juicy tasting clams. Worth the drive anytime.
Hard to believe this is the first review of the stand selling the best fried whole-belly clams in the U.S. If you like clams, this is paradise. The breading is perfect, they're fried in a light oil with no transfat, and the clams are thick and tender. We also recommend the fish and chips. The outdoor seating area by the water offers a view of passing Amtrak trains. We plan trips from NY twice a year, and would go in mid-Feb. if it were open.
