This restaurant is, disappointingly, consistently mediocre. I want it to be great, but the dishes are simply too unexciting. There isn't much to complain about, but what you get just isn't exciting at all - and not in the way that makes you want to return just because its consistent. Some things can be quite good (the French toast, the steak frites). Overall the experience there feels a little sterile - needs some creativity and life to it.

I have been to this restaurant several times. The meals are enjoyable and the price is mid-high end. Overall, the food is better than average, and consistent. Unlike other reviewers, I had a good dinner experience, however, the brunch was not up to par with the dinner.

In my experience, this place was over-rated. The food was adequate and attractively presented, but not extraordinary. The waitstaff was attentive, but didn't know so much about the food as I would have expected at a restaurant with such high pretensions. There are better French restaurants in Boston.

Very, very good food - burger was tremendous as were the wonderful rosemary fries, dish of imported French olives did not disappoint, great bread basket from which you can pick what you want (I love that they don't waste any that way). Very personable service. Great drinks. Excellent pacing to our meal. Nice view onto Boylston Street. I was tickled with this great find after a day of Black Friday shopping.
