This neighborhood with both Victorian and Craftsman houses is great for walking. "Shade" is in the heart of the 16th St. shopping area.
Everything on the menu was appealing. We shared fried green tomatoes, which were crisp, not overly breaded or greasy. My husband loved the soup flight, and my pulled pork taco was perfectly seasoned with a nice mix of black beans, avocado etc, to blend with the flavorful meat. Just went back -- still great.
Seasonal menu is great. The fish dishes are always a delight. Love the halibut when available. Sunday brunch is always a hit.
"Wonderful for brunch, lunch or dinner. Small but elegant menu - great place to celebrate special occasions."
Nice outpost in the Heights with refreshing cocktail list and wine selection. The food tends on the light side which is great for a night out with girlfriends.
"Service is spotty, but food always good"
