The burgers are much different because of the cheese. Some people I know don't prefer it but the majority love it. The ice cream is GREAT and is worth going there for even if you don't plan on dining in.

If you are in the Hartford area you must try Shady Glen. Limited menu for the hamburgers are special and to be tried. This is a throwback to the 1950's. The ice cream is the best and the various flavors must be experienced. People come from miles around to try the ice cream.

Classic - known for their cheeseburger grilled/fried almost - excellent. Plus their ice creams are incredibly popular.
