Although a dramatic concept and high end location, they failed to translate it in their menu. Bob's food was indeed very good, but unfortunately will not be enough to overlook Dave's undressed papaya salad, unforgivably dusty wine glasses and a forgetful waitress who did not think she owed us any service once our order was placed. For the heavy waiting and price this place comes with, not worth a second visit.
Worst dining experience I have ever had. 1. Don't accept American Express 2.waited for a table even though had reservations. 3. Over half of the menu items were sold out only one non meat option on a Friday during lent. 3. waiter rude to people next to us 4. Long wait for our drinks 5. waiter was never going to tell us of the substitutions in our salad 6. Salmon raw 7.steak raw 8. Substitution steak so raw it was purple 9. Wine glasses so dirty
Had wanted to try this place for a very long time. Love the concept... very cute! However, the food fell absolutely flat for everyone I was with. I got the duck, which was unfortunately very over cooked. Service was VERY slow for a restaurant that was barely half full. Disappointing. Better off down the street at Hammersleys!
Really fun idea with good food.
Visiting this restaurant on a busy Saturday night left me and my friend in *shock* of how poorly run a "top-notch" South End restaurant may actually be despite its supposed "high rating" on Zagat or whereever else.
Had to wait for 20 mins despite a reservation. Food was bland and inedible and had to send it back. Got comp'ed on drinks(bland wine) and dessert (worst icecream ever). A poorly run,overrated,pre-theater trap with 0 decor/character!
