Smitty's is solid but not worth the hype. The food is good but nothing special and strikes me as overpriced for what it is. The overall experience feels somewhat dated. Having said that, it's clearly popular since the place is packed on Saturday nights. If cuisine matters to you, however, there are better spots in Pasadena.

I am a regular lunch patron at this upscale institution for the business community. Great service. Loud enough that a business conversation is private despite close quarters. Great corn bread, steaks, fish and salads. Best place on Lake to take a client.

Nice neighborhood restaurant with comfort food. Good wine list. Service is generally good but can be spotty. They do an excellent job for groups on their patios.

I love going for lunch and sitting outside when the weather is nice. They have an expansive selection and their appetizers are tasty and unique. The home made potato chips are a must!
