Nothing special here. Many better restaurants of its type in LI. Kinda underwhelming.
Above average Italian for a neighborhood place. The menu is interesting, the wine list varied, with many affordable selections. The service was attentive. We didn't experience the inconveniences other members described: a reservation for two on a weekend evening was honored without waiting. The parking lot is small, but there's plenty of street parking. Avoid the tasteless hummus balls served with the bread--a bad start to a great dinner.
Hadn't been in a while, was looking forward to it. Sorry to say very underwhelmed. Maybe an off night for them but everything was salty, pasta was under done and chicken parmigiana ravioli was strange and gritty from the bread crumbs. Will give it one more try
Food is consistently good albeit the dining rooms are so noisy with all the Oceanside yenta's kevtching. You won't be raving about a meal here but it's better than lame offerings of the other restaurants in this town. Best dish is the limoncello shrimp. Parking is a pain in the butt and if you don't have reservations expect to wait. Nothing cutting edge here but then again, it's Long Island. Menu hasn't changed in years and needs refreshing
Since the arrival of a new chef late this summer, the food has been consistently excellent. The new additions to the menu are delectable and the old standards once again deserve the high praise they were used to. His touch with sauces, including a light and perfectly seasoned chestnut sauce, is exquisite. Don't write this place off until you try it again.
