4th visit in 3 years was a real disappointment on 12-18-10. Service was very poor, waited an hour at our table before anything happened other than water for a party of 3. Asked the main server about what happened, no apology or response. So bad we mailed the GM a letter and asked to make contact. No return call or anything
The dining room is pretty but we were disappointed with the view. Our food was very good and elegantly presented however, our main course took a long time to come. Our appetizer and first course came quickly and then, service just kind of stopped. We were getting hungry at this point and filled up on the bread (basil flavored, delicious) but at this price, we expected quicker service. Somelier was great-fantastic selection of Italian wines
I had not been here for 6 years and am happy to report that the food remains stellar (who would not love sea urchin panna cotta?) The service also is extremely helpful and attentive. The wine list is on the expensive side so you may want to try the wine pairings with one of the tasting menus. I tried the white truffle enrichment but cannot recommend it. At $90 for 4 grams it is $9000/lb and I have had better truffle flavor from truffle salt.
Just wonderful decor with delicate tuscan food.Pricey not worth the slurge
Great service ,great room ,overrated food
Great food, great service; worth the bill as long as you do not come in with a preconceived idea of 'Italian' food. This is true Italian, not American-Italian.
