Participate NowWent there for a birthday lunch, and will not bother to return. Ordered a burger which arrived with a pattie and bun (nothing else) was told I couldn't order (and pay for) a side of lettuce and tomato - but I could order one of the salads from the menu... totally pretentious for what is essentially a trumped up pub. Appetizers were very good but the entrees were below average. Dissapointed you haven't read the other reviews and started to change.
We went at least three times to this nice english pub-restaurant. We waited every time between 1 to 1h45. But that's part of the "pleasure" I guess. The crowd is mature and seems to be used to this place. The food is based on basic and good techniques. The most disappointing point was not the wait, not the “almost" clean bathroom, not the noise,.. but the fact that everything was far too much salty. Not sure to come back.
First visit Sat evening last, food was good but very pricey. I disagree with the commentary that if food is great its no hassle waiting a long time. The service was very slow and eccentric, not a great selection of entrees settled for scallops which was enjoyable but whats with the fries hanging over the plate, so bad! Table we were seated at was tiny, two very small tables pushed together for three diner. We ate upstairs and the room was stuffy.
I waited 1 hour for the burger however it worths the wait. Devilled eggs and charcoaled burgers, I definitely recommend.
Great service once you do get a table, but as everyone has pointed out - there's a wait. Expensive but well worth it, lovely atmosphere although a little crowded at times.
