The bright LED sign had been assaulting me on my daily commutes so I decided to give Stockyard a try. The interior is pure barnyard kitch with cowboy celebrity thrown in: really bad paintings of John Wayne etc.
This set the stage for less-than-mediocre barbecue & Stockyard delivered: There was little smoke flavor in the meats; they cook with gas. Slimy chicken. Dryish brisket. Fatty ribs. And the sides were overall either very salty/sweet. Bad
simply some of the best smoked meat I've ever had. the side are really good too. Don't miss the Heart attack potatoes and the Cole slaw. the banana pudding is sooo good too. My new bbq place to go:)
