The best date restaurant before seeing an indie flick at the Charles Theatre.

If not the first it was among the first small plate restaurants in Baltimore. It's still one of the best in Baltimore for small plates. You must love intimate settings because the tables are so packed together you will feel like you are sitting at the same table with your neighboring table.

Located in a wonderful theatre, Tapas is sometimes just what you want. When the weather is nice sitting out on the street can be very pleasant....but food mediocre

Someday the "noisy rooms with no space between tables means better food" trend will run its course. Tapas Teatro's eclectic small plates still satisfy, especially the single elegant lamb chop, but not the place to relax and discuss that new foreign film you just saw at the Charles cinema next door.
