The food is great here. I had an arugula beet salad with Aguava dressing walnuts and toasted goat cheese, as well as Paiche Amazone (Sea Bass-like fish). My food was excellent and my date enjoyed her pasta. The service was great because the waiters were friendly, and answered all our questions. The decor was simple but I docked it a tad because at one point it was too loud to speak. But I would highly recommend Taranta and I plan on going again.
Mediocre meal and very slow service. Underwhelmed.
Our third time here... and if anything, the food just keeps getting better. An emphasis on fresh, organic ingredients combined with the fusion of Peruvian and Italian cuisines makes this a very special place. They've even manage to pull together a primarily organic list of very interesting wines. Highly recommended. And after the fourth time, all of the above is still accurate.
While there are many very fine Italian restaurants in the North End, this is one of the few that can also satisfy more adventuresome diners as well. The Peruvian dishes are outstanding and well worth trying. The service is very professional and enthusiastic.
A delicious and unusual fusion of Peruvian and Italian food, the result of which is excellent!
