I went for lunch at 1:15 on a weekday, not too crowded then. I sat at the front circular bar, very comfortable. Service was curt but food came out of the kitchen quickly. I got the lunch special, white seaweed salad, pork dumplings, and the soba green noodle with curry dish. Everything was amazing, and i just wanted to smell the noodle dish rather than eat it, it smelled so good. Tei An lives up to all the hype; they need a better sign in front.
Had the tasting menu so cost eas a little higher than advertised. Everything was excellent! Attention to detail and the customer was outstanding.
"One of the best places to dine in Dallas, and convenient to the Arts District, either before or after the performance. Wonderful minimalist decor is elegant and relaxing--just walking in the door is like a visit to a Japanese spa."
"go. then go again. Each time make sure you let the chef just bring you what he wants (Omakase). Without question the best meal I've had in the entire state of TX, and quite possibly in my top 10 throughout the U.S. Brilliant, brilliant chef."
