A great! place to eat in Ridgefield. We've been several times before shows at the Playhouse. Food and service have always been consistently good.
We started going to this location when the wait at Luc's Cafe was too long. A few years ago it opened as Terasole. We no longer consider it as a second choice to Luc's but an equal. The food is wonderful, fresh and local. We have always found the service to be warm and attentive. The prices are on the higher end of the spectrum but not out of line with the quality. Definately one of the best reataurants in the area.
Very good Italian food, including some unusual choices. Nice wine list. Attentive service. Can be noisy when crowded. Outside dining in the summer, or for a bite and a drink after a movie, etc. is very nice, but the inside dining is also very good. Add yourself to their email list for weekly specials if you don't mind being hungry all week in anticipation.
An ambitous Mediterranean tucked into a quiet corner behind Main Street. the menu contains some hits and some misses. I give them an E for effort and most offerings are generally good. Al fresco dining on the patio in warmer months is a delight.
For the second time, on my birthday, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Terra Sole. The promising description of the salmon risotto delivered a satisfying delicious fulfilling main dish. The special salad was a mix of exotic greens wheat and tomatoes. The service was attentive unabtrusive and smooth- our waiter, Rich, who was Italian made us feel as if we were back in Tuscany. The decor was modern with dim lighting, soft seductive oil paintings, wrought iron wine racks and cloth draped tables. Pietro Polini, the charming owner, visited our table after which he sent us special wine to embelish our meal. This restaurant aims to and does please.
