My order was take out. The Konkan Samundri was excellant with very authentic flavors. Unfortunately, the Signature lamb chops were extremely fatty and overmarinated resulting in a very mushy meat textiure, not edible. At $34 dollars for four small chops, overpriced as well. Matre'de was attentive and polite. Pleasant modern decor. I would come back for the Konkan not the chops.
Excellent Indian fare with great service and lovely old world hospitality and warmth. You feel very special under the watchful eye of you hostess/owner and the meal is memorable and flavorful. Full bar with generous drinks.
Very good Indian food covering an array of regional cuisine types. Have not had a bad dish here. Is located in the recently renovated Nith Square section of New Haven. For a vegetarian version of this restaurant, try Thali Too in the Broadway section of New Haven adjacent to Yale -- also excellent. But dish for dish, I would clearly give the nod to Coromandel as the better authentic Indian restaurant. Compare the Saag dishes.
Outstanding Indian food and warm, competent service. Always enjoy dining in New Haven, where your server is almost always a Yale graduate student.
Tissue papery "crackers" served with pungent and sweet dippings, wine chilled to crispness, and a meal spiced to perfection, fresh, scrumptious. The signature hot crab appetizer was warmed and satisfying. Service was efficient, friendly, with advise that set us on the path to an exquisite dining experience. We will return to New Haven just for another visit.
