We have been to Thyme many times. Originally liked it for the ambiance and food (most recently, brunches on Sunday were fine). We had dinner early May, and while the waiter was very good and helpful the split double pork chop was inetible it was so tough. Unfortunately, the chef declared it to be fine, with no further comment. The waiter eventually implored him to buy us a glass of wine. Too Late. Never known for friendly help anyway: Goodbye!
The staff was terrible. Waitress told us bar was backed up and to order dinner only to walk away without saying anything because we were taking to long. I asked another waitress for a taxi company name and was literally told that i was rude to interrupt her and she proceeded to scream at me.
First time at Thyme and was pleasantly surprised. The food and service was top notch. I started with a salad and had the Mahi-Mahi. My wife had the Red Snapper special. We each had a glass of Malbec. Both dishes were excellent, well proportioned and nicely presented. For desert we shared a cr?me brulee over coffee. The space is clean yet sophisticated and overlooks the duck pond in Roslyn. A lone guitarist in the bar area provided some casual tunes. Will be back.
