Umalu's is the best restaurant in Kaanapali. Chef Kevin Boyles creates the most wonderful salads, using local fruits such as mangoes, to offer Hawaiian twists on favorites. Excellent use of fish! Best ahi salad on the island!

We usually sit at the bar for a cocktail/pupu at sunset or a burger for lunch. Quick and friendly service at the bar. Nice swimming pool and ocean front views. Dip in the pool if you so desire and hop back on the bar chair to finish your burger. Live music during sunset hours. Lots of chatter from all the happy, excited visitors to the Hyatt's fabulous pool bar area.

Decor...How about 30 ft from the ocean! Literally can get up and walk over to the ocean! This is no pool stand with dried burger and weak mai tai. This is a ahi serving, great bar tending, try da' bomb dessert haven! Great stuff!
