Had dinner at 6:45pm on a Wednesday night. I was promptly greeted and taken to a nicely decorated table near the stage. A bluegrass band was playing. Not overwelmingly loud, we were able to converse wihout issue. When our food began to arrive, we were amazed at the unique tastes and the way the sauces accentuated each bite. The rib eye steak melted in your mouth. Oysters Rockerfellar were absolutely delicious. Chocolate Moose, a masterpiece!
Basement level dining. The dining rooms are large, dark, and noisy. The whiskey collection is the real reason to go; it is the best in the city. The food is kind of a throwaway as is the wine. Arugula and peach salad was fine, the scallop and short rib dish was fine, nothing special. The goat won ton, however, was not good. Go for the whiskey, skip everything else.
