Food was so bad, I had clam strips that had gone bad and i was vomiting in my car for a 30 min car ride to my house I will never eat there again

Good seafood in huge portions in an interesting "whaling schooner" decor. Can be long waits. Branford.

Left Connecticut in 1969. Now, once a year we travel from Ohio to visit three families. One always serves us a big dinner. The second one lunches us and wines us all afternoon. The third one knows without asking that we're going to dine on whole belly clams at the Chowder Pot. This has been going on for as many years as I can remember. There are no whole belly clams in Ohio.

Located off Rt 95 in Brandford, CT exit 56. An above average seafood place to experience. Especially busy during lunch time with fair prices and a very varied seafood menu. The food is always fresh and the preparation is always good basic cooking, nothing fancy but consistent. There is entertainment on certain nights along with Karioke singing.
