After reading Jeff's blogs on making pizza I honestly expected more. The pizza was tasty but very limp for being nicely black on the bottom. The edge crust was light and airy...far more than a sourdough based crust should be. Neopolitan Style perhaps...Neopolitan it is not. And yes very pricey.
The chef's obsession with the perfect pizza shows. Every pie comes out of the oven with an impossibly thin crust, beautifully charred. Fresh tangy tomato sauce and creamy mozzarella form an almost-molten base for the authentically Italian toppings. Less traditional entries, like an arugula and lemon-topped white pie, also impress. Service is always good, and Jeff is frequently in-house to visit.
good tasts, too pricey for pizza. Great location near Piedmont Hospital. It is good to watch them make the pizza.
Chill, family friendly pizzeria with full bar.
Very good pizza. Wine selection is good.
