this small and quaint spot in the middle of nowhere has the best mussels I have ever had,not to mention killer sandwiches and seafood specials. Be prepared for a lesurely lunch and enjoy the local crowd

A little gem. When busy be prepared to wait as service only moves as fast as the kitchen can get the food out...but worth the wait.

Don't drive by and don't let the beach shack look fool you. With six burners in the tiny kitchen, the Varney's crew serves food like no where else on Long Island. Consistently excellent, always palate pleasing with persnickity service. A repeat spot for smart diners.
