Food was good but costly. The bar is always buzzing with regulars... so they must be doing something right.
Villa Milano is not one of...its the BEST BEST BEST place in Manhasset. Gino's doesnt even come close! The cheese to sauce ratio for the pizza is 50/50 excellent! Re-heated pizza when you take it out of the fridge at home, is excellent, and it still has that great taste!! Their chicken soup is amazing! When I was sick, that soup broth healed me right up! The atmosphere is very friendly. The owners, John and Don are the nicest people in the world!
Decent Italian food at reasonable prices. Neighborhood atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy. The inexpensive ($18) pinot noir is very good. The fried calamari and eggplant parmisian is recommended.
Usually more reliable. Last couple of attempts not so good. Mushroom pizza turned out to be ice cold slab with a handful of cold, canned mushrooms sitting on top. N.B. being busy at any given time doesn't necessarily translate to rudeness!
A real find among local restaurants which serve well prepared food ,much of it family style, which is tasty, without being innovative or sparkling in variety. A great place to end the evening after a movie which is close by and very much in demand by the locals who want artsy presentations, which are not shown at the big theatre complexes.
