This is a great place if you want a raucous night out. The food comes fairly quickly, and the menu selection is quite good. I recommend the chicken marsala--but be prepared to eat as the portions are big. I think that the environment is what makes the food taste so much better--it is crowded and fun.
This place is what I like to call a"pull up to the troth type of eatery" I say this mainly because the tables are so close together and the main ideology of this place, in my mind,is feed them and be them out! To say the weekends are crowded is an understatement and I know for a FACT they raise the heat late in the evening with hopes to get customers out the door faster.I completely understand this is a business, I get it,but being rushed is rude
I avoided trying Vincent's for many years, having grown up with serious, home-style, southern Italian cuisine but, at my wife's insistence, I tried the place last night. The decor is right out of Mulberry Street, which is fun, but food wise, what I found striking, was how good the linguini itself was. The sauce was good but the pasta itself was downright special. I do wish they'd not been out of Scungil. Maybe they had a run on it :-)
Been coming here for over 20 years and it is the only place where I order the same thing every time - shrimp an scum gills over linguine, medium sauce with hot on the side. The seafood is very fresh and the sauce is the best. The production from the open kitchen to the seating and food delivery is down to a science - a necessity given how packed this place is.
I dont really need to say much, The food is amazing, you cant go wrong. The grandmas italian sauce is great. This is the place to go with a group. Its very family/ party oriented. Plus you have a good chance of seeing someone famous
