Restaurant: Violette / Atlanta, GA off Clairmont
First and foremost parking is horrible during prime time lunch. This is NOT an upscale restaurant. The very dark tea was stale and we waited 30 minutes and not many patrons were eating. The time was approximately around 12:45 and it was 1:15 then we left. I make quiches and understand that it does not take 30 minutes to warm a homemade quiche slice up to serve.
Very good service, the waiter was very helpful with the menu and explained items in a detailed manner. The entrees were very good, but the decor can be improved
Impressed with the service and taste of the entrees. Skip this place if you are celebrating an occasion like a birthday. We brought our own cake and was disappointed the restaurant charged a $2 forkage fee per person. The waiter tried to pass it off as a fee to cover their liability. I wonder if they would charge a mom for bringing in a baby bottle for her new born or a big mac for her 4 year old. Will have to rethink where I will be back.
Predictable upscale-ish. I always seem to order an entree and I always promise myself that "next time" I would have salads and appetizers because they are really what i prefer on menu. Went there for my birthday last year, with 6 others... some at the table said it was their favorite place.
Good variety of menu options, well prepared and service staff is delightful.
